A record turnout will explore Pārdaugava at Riga Rogaining
More than 850 participants from Riga and other regions of Latvia have applied for the biggest rogaining competition in Latvia - Riga Rogaining, which is a new record for rogaining competitions in Latvia. Foreign guests from Lithuania, Estonia and Norway will also take part in the orienteering competition.

The start will be given on Saturday, March 21, at the shopping center “Damme”.
"Rogainings basically unites orienteers, runners, adventure sports activists, pole climbers and hikers, but in general this sport is very democratic, where participants of any age and fitness can take part, who want to have an interesting and exciting adventure in the city and in nature," the organizers of the event justify the large population activity. According to the author of the race map and the distance, the rogaining distance will be very diverse, including the populated areas of Imanta, Iļguciem, and Ķīpsala, as well as the intriguing Spilve meadows and forests on the shores of Buļļupe.
You can participate in the competition in three different distances - 2, 4 or 6 hours long. You can register for the competition electronically on the website of the competition until March 19. Although the length of the classic rogaining is 24 hours, the competition also takes place with shorter time limits - in Riga Rogaining, the strongest participants will have a 6-hour time limit and a 4-hour time limit, while families with children will have a 2-hour time limit. The special and unusual feature of Riga Rogaining will be the merging of the urban area with nature. Movement in the distance will take place on foot - walking or running.
Riga Rogaining is an orienteering sports team competition, where teams of 2-5 people visit checkpoints located in the city and in the forest in a freely chosen order during a certain period of time, trying to collect as many points as possible. At the same time, Riga Rogaining will be the first stage of the Latvian Rogaining Cup.
The competition is offered by the Riga City Council and the Education, Culture and Sports Department of the Riga City Council.
