City Legends concludes on 4 November with Riga Lakes Rogaining
The largest and most popular rogaining or team orientation series “Pilsētas leģendas” in the Baltic States will end in the capital as always - the last sixth stage of the season “Rīgas ezeru rogainings” will take place on November 4 in Riga at the shopping and entertainment center “AKROPOLE Alfa” in Brīvības gatve 372. The sixth stage of the Rogaining series is organized in cooperation with the Riga City Municipality, as well as with shopping and entertainment centra “AKROPOLE Alfa”, Intervals.lv, Isostar, Garmin, Kokmuiža, Magnesia, Red Bull, Merrild, Orthomol, Wellmann atbalstu.

Last year, the season of “Pilsētu leģendas” ended on November 5, and this year, the popular rogaining series will also have its final stage on the first Saturday of November. “Pilsētu leģendas” seriālam, kas tika aizsākts 2020. gadā, šis jau ir ceturtais gads. In the new season, in the previous five stages, the participants of the rogaining series have visited five different cities in Latvia - Baldone, Liepāja, Riga, Strenči and Ādaži.
Therefore, this will be the second time that those interested in orienteering will start in the capital, but in a completely different area, because the organizers always make sure that the participants are interesting. If in May “Rīgas lidostas rogainingā” the vicinity of the International Airport “Rīga” was run, then this time the checkpoints will have to be looked for in another part of Riga. The competition center will be located at the shopping and entertainment center “AKROPOLE Alfa”, where competitors can register to participate. On the other hand, in the wide assortment of the shopping center, participants will be able to find everything they need to prepare for this and next year's stages.
“Rīgas Ezeru rogainings” mēģinās pierādīt, ka Rīgu var saukt ne tikai par Mazo Parīzi, bet arī Mazo Venēciju. Participants will see both the well-known Lakes Ķīšezer and Juglas, as well as their smaller brothers - Bābelīti, Gaiļezer, Linezer, Velnezer, Lake Dambjpurva, as well as microscopic ponds that you can name yourself. In the chilly November, when the mind will hardly go swimming, you will also have to puzzle over how to cross or pass several rivers - Šmerlupīte, Dreiliņupīte, Jugla and Piķurga. Taču no visizaicinošākā šķēršļa – Brīvības ielas – iepriekšējos Rīgas rogainingos parasti turējāmies pa gabalu. Therefore, until now, the parts of the city north and south of Brīvības gatve and the railway were not often combined, but this time we will safely get to the other side via bridges and tunnels - places where the rogainer's foot is less often set foot.

Rogaining competitions with 2 to 4 participants in the team include both athletes and orienteering enthusiasts who are already masters of these competitions, as well as lovers of an active and sporty lifestyle who like to spend their free time in the fresh air. Therefore, several families also use this opportunity, because rogaining is, in its essence, a very democratic activity, with participants choosing the distance and number of checkpoints suitable for their abilities.
