City Legends rogaining series continues in the capital

The third stage of the Rogaining series is held in cooperation with the Riga City Council, supported by
shopping center “Spice”, Intervals.lv, Isostar, Garmin, Kokmuiža,
Magnesia, Red Bull, Merrild, Orthomol, Wellmann. According to the participants
for abilities and desires, the organizers offer 6h Garmin, 4h Kokmuižas and 2h “Spice”
rogaining distances, as well as 3h MTB, rogaining run 2h Isostar (O–Run) and
rogaining walks for children.
This year, the “Pilsētas leģendu” series started at the end of March in Baldone, the second stage was held
held in the second half of April in the windy city of Liepāja, but now, approaching the middle of the season,
it will be held in the capital. One or more stages take place in Riga every year, but
right next to “Spice” shopping center it will happen after a gap of almost six years because
the last time there was a competition at this shopping center in November 2017. Significantly,
that this will be the first stage of the rogaining series on Sunday, because Saturday, May 20 is
rescheduled business day from Friday, May 5.
The competition center will also be located at “Spice Home” on the side of Lielirbe Street.
Never mind, this stage is named “Rīgas lidostas rogainings” for nothing,
because the competition area is around the territory of “Rīga” International Airport. "Cities
"Legendas" participants will visit Mārupe, Bieriņi, Mazava, in search of checkpoints.
In Mētras, Liberos, Zērves, Priežuciems and also Skulte, but not in the one beyond Saulkrasti,
but behind the airport runway. There is also the relocated Riga Aviation Museum, where it is located
in an area the size of a parking lot, participants will be able to see as they run or walk past
several ancient aircraft of various sizes.

In Rogaining competitions with 2 to 4 participants, both athletes and
orienteering enthusiasts who are already masters of these competitions, as well as active and sporty ones
lifestyle lovers who like to spend their free time in the fresh air and being active

is a very democratic activity, as the participants can choose what suits their abilities
