DISTANCE DESCRIPTION
Riga Rogaining, the third one in a row, presents itself with a territory that, similar to a slice of pizza, starts in the city center on the AB dam and ends in the far suburbs almost at the big ring road. The territory combines the classic view of the towers of Old Riga, the labyrinths of the streets of Ågenskalns, the simplicity of the Ziepniekkals micro-district, the "kredītu buma" villages, the remains of the horticultural boom of the past century, the Pieriga meadows, as well as the territories that were subject to more or less peat development in different periods of time. All of this, starting from the transport dune on the Salu bridge to ending with complete silence and peace in the forest and bush areas of Ķekava and Olaine counties, where only the glare of the big city lights makes it clear that Riga is right next door.Big city and suburban contrasts between two radii - Riga Rogaining in November 2015.

Recommended distance equipment for all teams is a distance planning marker to mark the team's route, a compass with degree divisions, ruler, watch, energy food and drink.
MAKING THE DISTANCE
Since road traffic in the city of Riga is not closed during the competition, all participants are obliged to follow the rules of the road during the competition, to be especially careful when crossing the streets, at traffic lights. When finding the checkpoint, all team members must mark themselves at the point - wait for the signal from the SI station. The team must mark itself at the finish checkpoint by the end of the time limit of the selected distance. Checkpoints visited after the end of the time limit will not be counted. For each minute delayed after the time limit, 1 point will be deducted from the number of points collected. If the team is more than 30 minutes late, no points will be awarded. At the finish, the team must hand over the SI cards and other rented equipment, if any, to the judge. The results for the teams will be visible electronically on the screen in the competition center, also available from mobile phones.
