A map was prepared for the participants, the territory of which included the part of Liepāja, starting from the Trade Canal, including Vecliepāja, Ezerkrasti and Diyniuritemu micro-districts, and extending to the south even beyond the city border as far as Grīnvalti, Cenkone and Pērkone, as well as touching the shores of the Liepāja lake and the lake dam system. During the competition, the weather was clear and sunny, which did not cause any problems for the participants, but at the time of the awards, snow whirlwinds provided a special show.
The largest number of participants was in the longest distance – 54 teams went to the start. In six hours, almost all the points were collected by the team “Riga Adventure Team” (197 out of a total of 200). The team represented by Jānis Ķemers and Alberts Jasāns returned to the finish line with 10 minutes to spare and only one point ahead of their closest followers. Team “Kļūdu kaskāde”, in which Sandis Zukulis and Elīna Petrovska competed, showed the clear best result with 157 points in the four-hour time trial, beating the next best team by eight points. Also in the two-hour distance, the leaders showed a convincing result, separating themselves from the closest followers by 18 points – the team “Sakas One” from Lithuania, whose team consists of Vladas Kutiavinas and Mantas Pocevičius, earned 83 points.
