UPDATED 11 October: Season finale and Red Bull awards ceremony on 23 October

The Ķekava stage has been successfully completed and the final stage of the season remains - Riga autumn rogaining. It will be in a brand new location this time and on the map as well. Let's enjoy the surroundings of shops "Sāga" and "IKEA", and since this is also the outskirts of the city, there will be an opportunity to choose both the urban part of the map and also neat (and also beautiful) forest areas.

Observing 9.10.2021 of the Cabinet of Ministers. order no. 720 "Par ārkārtējās situācijas izsludināšanu", the mass start will not take place, but instead there will be a separate start and finish arch (as in Olaine), where you can start at a time of your choice between 9:30 and 15:00. The time limit of the event remains at 17:00.

The registration tent will be located outside the restricted area. We ask that only the team captain go there with any mouth and nose cover.

Participants must take into account all epidemiological safety conditions in force on the day of the event. Those who will have shown a valid transfer/vaccination certificate*, will only be allowed to have physical contact with their teammates. But the others, according to the rules of the MK, will start in individual training mode, keeping a distance of 2 meters from their teammates as well. The result of these participants and the teams they represent will also be included in the table alongside the participants of the competition mode.

In the restricted area of the competition center, where there will be a large poster of the race map, and tables, but later also the award ceremony, the Garmin lottery and the Red Bull season-ending party (if the epidemiological situation allows it), will be allowed to enter and participate only with the participant number, a valid transfer/vaccination certificate and face mask.

This time, the children's walk will take place without an instructor, but with a map and a smartphone application (it is optional) in the individual training mode mentioned above.

*12-17-year-old children can also present a negative PCR test result, not older than 72 hours, instead of a certificate. But participants younger than 12 years old do not need to present either a certificate or a test result. These two categories of children are allowed to have physical contact only with members of their own team, but must distance themselves from other teams.

Another good news for MTB riders. Since the terrain in this region of Riga allows it, the distance planner will create a map so that MTB riders can also participate. Although the overall rating was already congratulated in the Ķekava stage, we thought that this is a great opportunity to also ride a bike around Riga - especially in this area, where there are many cool trails.

At the end of the event, there will also be an awarding of the overall rating.
