In very favorable weather for sports, more than 500 participants competed in several distances according to their abilities and wishes - 6h Garmin, 4h Kokmuiža and 2h ISOSTAR rogaining distances, as well as 3h MTB and 2h rogaining run (O-Run). Even the smallest participants could enjoy a two-hour rogaining walk with a search for checkpoints. Fans of Rogaining ran along the Refugee Road, along which the inhabitants of Kurzeme and Zemgale crossed the Daugava during the First World War, ran up the impressive gravel hills - Sakainai Pilskalni, Daugamale Pilskalni and Riekstukalni, and also enjoyed the fresh air of pine groves and crept through thicker and more impenetrable bushes in the marshy depressions.
Garmin showed a better performance in the 6h distance than in the first stage in Boulderai at the end of March and the maximum number of 200 points was collected by the bronze medal winners of the 2020 European Championship in 24h rogaining Zigmunds Bībers and Alberts Jasāns (Let us be lucky there), who last time conceded to Guntim Šmaukstelim and Kārlim Evertovskim, who did not start this time. Fifteen points less in the account of Lithuanians Audriusa Rudisa and Tomasa Jasinevičusa, but in the overall standings of three in the competition of 80 teams, Mārtiņš Krūze and Edgaru Jurjānu (Naids) who collected 175 points finished. The two best Mix or mixed teams immediately ranked in the top six, where in a very similar battle Uģis Inka, Zane Gruberte, Valdis Rozentāls (Left Bank) were two points ahead of Klāvu Svilpi and Māru Pucenu from “Vijolīšu gravas”. Kristīne Kadaša and Gunta Brazauska (Amber in hair) also reached the Top 10, leaving the usual leaders Noru Baranovsku and Martu Liepiņu in second place. In the family competition, Juris Šlesers and daughter Eliza from “Rīgas satiksmes” were the only ones who exceeded the hundred points mark.
Mārtiņš Ozoliņš and Rolands Rudītis (Riga adventure team) won the Kokmuiža 4h with 138 points, while the second place was won by “Auces aeroklubs” with Tomu Bergmani and Robertu Brūveri who were behind the top three in the first stage. The favorite team in the women's competition Ieva Godiņa and Aiga Kalniņa (B3/Without Compass) completed the top three with 115 points, which were one point ahead of the best mixed team “Liedagi-35” with Fadej and Zelmu Leidagiem Preciniekiem. Kaspars and Edvards Cimermaņi from “ApPasaule Family team” achieved the best result in the family competition with 72 points.
The first two places in Isostar 2h were won by the experienced mixed teams who had missed the first stage of the season. The medalists of the European and World Championships Guntars Mankuss and Irita Puķīte collected 75 points, while one of the leading teams of the previous season, “Siguldas takas” (Agate Kristapsone, Austris Ermans), took second place with 68 points. Starting better than in Boulderai, the best male team “Putekļu rijēji” (Uldis Cīrulis, Mārtiņš Treijs) achieved the third result, one point ahead of Madaru Apsaloni/Jāni Kalniņu (Ampēriņš) and Edgaru Rancānu/Aiju Svikli/Skaidrīti Ziediņu (RK “Mītava”). Valentīna Romanova and Anete Rožkalne (City Rats) defended their victory in the women's competition in Boulderai, but this time the success came in extremely similar competition with the helpful Ilzi and Inesi Vilciņām (Milk is in the fridge), who had the same number of points (52), but missed the first place by 14 seconds over the time limit. The best family team was Cheksters - Aigars and Tomas.
3h MTB was convincingly won by Mārtiņš Linde, who was the only one to exceed the 150 mark (152), but for the second stage in a row, a very similar battle for second place took place between Aivi Zetmani and Normundu Orlovu, this time being one point ahead of Aivim. For the women, the top two in the last stage switched places, with Inesei Kauķei celebrating the victory, and Marijai Baranovskai taking second place. Third place went to Terēza Rocēna. The winners of the first stage of the 2h O-Run, Jānim Dūkam and Anitai Užulei, had to settle for the second place, because in Daugmale the most points were collected by Miķelis Zumbergs and Elīna Petrovska, who in the first stage due to an error remained in 4th place. Third places went to Zanda Stabiņa and Uldis Kleinbergs, who was only one point behind Duke.
