For the first time, the popular team orienteering competition “Leģendu rogainings” will visit Carnikava, where “Carnikavas leģendu rogainings” will be held a week before the famous lantern festival, or on August 17, organized by the Association of Adventure Competitions with the support of the municipality of Ādaži region. In the two distances, the fight for victory was so similar that the first place winners accumulated the same number of points, but in the 3h MTB distance, there was an equal fight between the participants of the two world championships.

According to the participants' abilities and wishes, the organizers offered the usual team distances - 6h Garmin and 4h Isostar, but the rest will be with other supporters - 2h TVNET+ rogaininga distance, 2h Magnesia rogaininga run and 3h Gerble MTB distance. Separately, the best company teams were determined in the TVNET+ Enterprise Challenge Cup introduced this year.

The competition center was located on Gauja beach at Atpūtas street in Carnikava. The area winds from Ādaži to Lilasti with Carnikava, Dzirnezeru and the Gauja river in the middle, as well as past Laveri, Siguli, where one of the most prominent Latvian poets rests Ojārs Vācietis, Staprini, Birznieki, Divzeri and Đadaži airfield. Some called this lake rogaining, as there was no shortage of such bodies of water in this Legends rogaining. In addition to the mentioned five-island Dzirnezer, on the other side of the VIA Baltica highway, there is also the fish-rich Lilaste lake and the largest of the lakes in this area, the depth of which does not exceed 3m - Dūňezer. Two small ones - Lake Laveru and Ummis, as well as Garezer - remain directly behind the territory. The participants had to wade across the Sergi swamp.

GARMIN won another victory in the 6h distance with Zigmunds Bībers with Albertu Jasānu (Let us have luck there), but this time in a more difficult task they failed to collect the usual maximum 200 points, this time reaching 183 points. As in July, Valdis Čunka and Jānis Ķemers (Riga Adventure team) won the second place in Rūjien, with 166 points. Once again, the best mixed or MIX team with Elīnu Petrovsku and Sandi Zukuli was rounded off (152 points). In the women's competition, Madara Apsalone and Aleksandra Fjodorova (Ampēriņš) are also the first with 129 points, while Intai and Viesturam Cīmuriem have the most points in the family competition.

One of the most intense battles for the victory took place in the 4h ISOSTAR distance, where the first two teams got the same number of points (109) and finished almost next to each other. However, Edgars Kokorevičs, Inese Kokoreviča finished 27 seconds earlier
and Jānis Ukass (B&Co), celebrating the win and leaving the top man team “Velkonis un enkurs” with Lauri Veidemani and Niku Patriku Ummeru in second place. By the way, in the last stage, Kokoreviča competed together with Ummer. The third team (Wellman), consisting of Valters Veiss and Artūrs Kančs, also scored more than 100 points.

Nora Baranovska teamed up with Ingu Sudāri-Špuni (Noringa) to earn 77 points this time, winning the women's event and just one point ahead of Gitu Mucenieci and Aneti Dārtu Rožkalni (Milk with a rat in the fridge), who accumulated 81 points but spent four minutes and four seconds, thus parting ways with five points. In the family competition, the best were Arta and Jēkabs Lindes with 53 points.

In the 2h TVNET+ rogaining distance, the fight was somewhat dramatic as the first two place winners of the last stage changed positions. Although the international duo Jānis Zeltiņš with Vladu Kutiavinu (SakasXone) collected 55 points, they wasted more than nine minutes, so they ended up with 45 points, five behind Kārlis and Dainas Stonkām (А team). Both of these teams were well ahead of the rest, as third place winners Viesturs Raipulis and Kristīne Kalniņa (Ħengakrasti) collected 30 points. The best ladies team “Lauktozītes” – Ilze Roķe and Māra Ozola (25 points) took fourth place, while Ruslan with Etjēnu Samuševu (Awesome and Amazing) remained unbeaten again in the family competition.

Edgars Bričonoks, the winner of the 25th place of the 2017 world championship in the GERBLE 3h MTB distance, in the long distance, with 143 points by 4, beat Mārtiņu Lindi, who was in the 20th place in the European championship in the sprint of 2023. First stage winner Raitim Muižniekam third place. For women, all three were taken by Latvians, while the winner of the second stage, Renātai Paulauskienei from Lithuania, remained fourth. The victory this time went to Aigai Strazdiņai, who was the only one to exceed a hundred with 110 points. Inese Kauķe was second, just like a month ago in Rūjien, but the top three was completed by Mārīte Kājiņa, who finished fourth last time.

In the 2h Magnesia rogaining race for men, the first two got the same number of points (52), both spent more than three minutes, but still spent 10 seconds less in the distance than Pāvels Ņevodņičenko, who then took first place, and Ingum Znotiņam, therefore, took second place. Also for the third place was the same number of points and also a difference of a few seconds, Uldim Kleinbergam still ahead of Jāni Užuli. However, the Užul family did not remain without an award, as Jānis's sister Anita Užule won the women's race with 39 points, leaving world championship medalist in luge Kendiju Aparjodi in second place, while Anžela Šapovalova scored the third result.
