Olaine Rogaining attracts a large turnout On Saturday, July 11, the Olaine rogaining was held in Olaine for the fourth year in a row, which gathered 500 participants - both local orienteering and cycling activists, as well as city guests from all over Latvia, who came to explore the surroundings of Olaine - the city, forests, meadows and swamps. This year, team “Krūšu inspekcija” with Miķeli Zumbergu and Gati Šmauksteli was the fastest in the Isostar 6h distance, team “Mežpils” with Kasparu Adijānu and Valdi Čunku won the Olainfarm 4h distance, and team “Tā tas notiekas” celebrated the victory in the Magnesia 2h distance. Join the Valmiera Rogaining orienteering adventure! On July 25, we invite residents of Valmiera and city guests to participate in the orientation adventure “Valmieras rogainings”. Participants will be able to choose from “Magnesia” two-hour, “D8 Corporation” four-hour or “Isostar” six-hour distances, visiting as many checkpoints as possible in the allotted time. It is up to each participant to plan the distance on a specially prepared map. Individual runners are offered a 14-16km rogaining run, and cyclists – a three-hour distance.
The Great Valmiera Adventure rounds off a beautiful summer On Saturday, August 24, all orienteering enthusiasts, athletes, families, children, young people and active people gathered in one of the most beautiful towns in Vidzeme - Valmiera, to indulge in the Lielajam Valmieras adventure. The start of the competition was given in the meadows of Dīvaliņas and the further distance roads were known only to the author of the track and an active lifestyle supporter - Reinim Bērziņam. Each of the participants had the opportunity to choose the most challenging distance from the ones offered - 2-hour Better4U, 4-hour D8 Corporation, 6-hour Isostar orienteering distance, or complete a 14km rogaining run, or go on the adventurous 4-hour xRace adventure rogaining using legs and bike.
The fourth Olaine Rogaining takes place on 11 July at Olaine Forest Park’s outdoor stage The restrictions introduced by Covid-19 have decreased, and thus there has been an opportunity to move the date of the event to July 11, on the Olaines Mežaparka stage, to hold the fourth Olaine rogaining, within which runners, cyclists and checkpoint seekers will orient themselves. In this year's Olaine rogaining, participants are offered 2h, 4h, and Isostar 6h distances, as well as a 14-16km rogaining run.
