World-class MTB orienteers separated by a single point at City Legends in Mazsalaca On Saturday, 13 July, Mazsalaca hosted Mazsalacas Skaņākalna Rogaining, the fourth round of the fifth season of the popular City Legends team orienteering series. It was the largest rogaining series in the Baltic States' first visit to this town in northern Vidzeme. In the 3-hour MTBO course, just one point separated first and second in both the men's competition, featuring world-class orienteers, and the women's competition. Another highlight was the first maximum score of the season by internationally successful Bībers and Jasāns.
Leaders approach the maximum score again at the third City Legends round in Baloži While the boom of the great Rimi Ŗīga marathon has already started in the center of Riga with the first day of competition, in the meantime, many running and orienteering fans enjoyed the terrain and the taste of competition for the third stage of the “Pilsētas leģendas” rogaining series “Baložu kūdras bānīša rogainingā”, which was organized by the adventure competition agency “Xevents" in cooperation with the municipality of Ķekava region, as well as Intervals.lv, Isostar, Garmin, Kokmuiža and “Magnesia” support and where the leading team in the longest “Garmin” 6h distance was again close, but still did not reach the maximum limit of 200 points.
Rogaining competitors gather in Liepāja On Saturday, April 20, on the streets of Liepāja and beyond the city border, there were many sporty people with cards who participated in the Liepājas Dienvidu fort rogaining competition. Kopumā Liepāj gathered 128 teams of two to four people, taking part in two, four or six-hour rogaining, as well as another 64 individual participants who took part in a two-hour run or a three-hour bike ride.
